Del City students raise funds to send vets to D.C.

Students at Del City Elementary School have collected enough coins to send two veterans to Washington to visit the World War II memorial, second-grade teacher Sherrie Sparger said.

The $1,200 was presented at a school assembly Wednesday to representatives of the national Honor Flight Network, which takes veterans at no charge to see the memorial [].

Office, Western OK Elec (JATC), Workforce Oklahoma, Chickasaw Nation Industries, Oklahoma Troops to Teachers, and many others.
